Building a basic Lead Generation app in Amazon HoneyCode
HoneyCode is Amazon’s first entry into the low-code world. It is currently in beta and is still missing many features. However, Amazon being Amazon, we can expect HoneyCode to mature fast in the coming months.
HoneyCode’s target audiences are business users building corporate internal applications. Amazon’s introduction material positions HoneyCode as a spreadsheet killer. Rather than sharing spreadsheets to your team, build an app with HoneyCode.
In this post, we will build a simple Lead Gen app. It is a simple app that many people use in events to quickly capture contacts and to share them among team members. We will see how to create this app in HoneyCode.
Before you start, signup for an account at www.honeycode.aws
Currently, the account is free for the first 20 users. With 2500 rows per workbook, it should be enough to test out most use cases.
Once signed in, let’s create our first workbook. A Workbook, in HoneyCode terminology, is like a folder that contains all tables (spreadsheets) and apps.
